Enterprise must be manageable. This is the truth, against which, perhaps, no one will object. But how can you achieve this pleasant and strong state of control in the company you lead or work for? This topic has ben dealt with by many researchers, and especially by American researchers. And through this they became part of history either personally, as Henry Ford and Lee Iacocca, or on the basis places of their "experiments on human beings," such as the Hawthorne experiment. And then, having achieved a limited success in their Western X and Y methods, managers turned to the Japanese Z theory. Or decided to base all business management on different theories of values, like Maslow. Or on the rules of mathematical statistics ... Of course, there were different experiments and some were a success. But most of these studies focused on the choice of means to influence employees. That is, all of them, thanks to the natural science-based approach to people, regarded man as simply an object, namely a biological entity, called the organism. Something like a bacteria or a ciliate, though much larger in size and complexity. Unfortunately, these methods do not always work well, at least in Russia. You should respect the employee, see her strengths and trust her by allowing to make mistakes and holding responsible for the outcome. How to unlock the employee's potential?
